TCU Go Frawgs !
If you haven't had it, try the chocolate covered frozen Key Lime pie on a stick. They sell it at a lot of C stores.

If you are flying, fly into Ft Lauderdale or Miami and rent a convertible.
Arrive mid morning so you can stop at Alabama Jacks for lunch. It's in downtown Card Sound.

If going to key West, stop at Robbies and watch the peeps feed the tarpon.

Stop at the No Name Pub on Big Pine Key for late afternoon pizza and a beer.
Before or after the NNP, drive around Big Pine Key and No Name Key and check out all the mini deer walking around. They will walk up and lick your hand. Don't feed them.

If you are planning to stay on Key West the entire time, turn in your rental car when you get there and just walk around old town for the duration of your trip. My first time there, the rental car stayed parked for 5 days while I paid $20 a day to park it.

Some good eats (some may no longer be there):
Blue Heaven, breakfast and brunch.
Pepe's, breakfast and brunch.
El Meson De Pepe (Cuban), lunch and supper.
Courthouse Deli, Cubano for lunch.
Schooner Warf Bar, bar food lunch and supper, laid back, live music, on the waterfront.
Sloppy Joe's Bar, they actually have a good sloppy joe.
Caroline's Cafe, breakfast, lunch and supper.

Fun place to drink: Just about any bar.
We always hit the Green Parrot and Capt Tony's (RIP Captain Tony).

Great architecture all over old town. We walk around and check everything out and always make a trip through the cemetery.

Have a rental car reserved for the ride back to the airport. Fly out in the afternoon so you can hit Alabama Jacks for lunch on the way back north.
