Got out early 6am til noon. No top water early. About 9am I had several blow ups on my top water popper. Stuck with the top water too long. Fished shad rap and pointer on shallow rocky points and pine tree lay downs. Caught 5 to salvage the day. They seem to be busting fry along the banks. Also a ton of bait in the water. Big herring.

Thanks for the report. We are not having much luck with the top water bite either.
