Fired off 3. They always pass through into the backstop. Gotta check. Kinda hesitant though after last time. Won't ever do that again. Felt like I pulled one of these a little too.

Definitely not as good today. 4 inch group. Gonna stop there. Hear rumbling way off but too close for climbing a metal treestand. Maybe grill some pork chops instead. And a sip of firewater to celebrate not being zapped by lightning. Yall get to practicing. It's already May.

Turkey season is over in Ga. Let's get busy prepping for deer season. Been outta whiskey at camp since fall. Problem solved.20250515_225012.jpg

About to move some cameras and hang a few more. The world seems better when you spend some time in the woods. 20250515_155528.jpg

Maybe I'll find a few more of these.

Every couple years I find something interesting. Always lean it against a tree so it doesn't disappear in time. Maybe somebody else can ponder on what it was.20250515_154743.jpg20250515_154747.jpg

The mishaps continue. Shot 3. Lowered my bow. Guess it's never good to drop your biscuit. Think I'm gonna have to completely remove the rest to reinstall because of where the screws are positioned. facepalm: 20250523_130547.jpg

Dang. Busted up my bolts. Usually only shoot at top 1 for a laugh after I crest the hill a bit but did today for whatever reason. All at the center dot.View attachment 1370595View attachment 1370599View attachment 1370600View attachment 1370601

Git a couple aluminum arrows I did with the Sow back in the day but didn't know graphite would hold together. Pretty cool. Would like to say from 60 yards or more but only 20ish. Still pretty cool.View attachment 1370605View attachment 1370606

Probably should stop for now.

I had a stand in back yard for practice but the headmistress made me move it.

I am working to get my elevated shooting platform finished and then I can do 500 with centerfire and any distance with bow.

It’s only about 100 yards from back yard gate.

November WILL be here before we know it!

Well we got the roughly 15 acre crop field changed over to 5 acres of corn on west end by neighbors that will give some cover until micanthus and switchgrass get better about year 3 with the rest in oats and alfalfa .. several other early plots done … they say if you feed them they will come but I know Slo doesn’t believe that bc he about starves himself constantly ::ke: Hopefully I can make them so fat they walk slow and it gives me time to draw my 54lb beast
Going back in Sept to tweak a few stands and add 2 more as well as cameras … it’s June so heavy fishing season but September will be here quick … good luck to all you killers
