Live bait near Carter’s Lake

Does anyone know where I can purchase live shad or jumbo minnows near Carter’s Lake? I’m having a very hard time locating any. I have a cast net but am terrible when it comes to casting it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ralstons' corner usually has shiners. They sometimes have trout in the winter. Not sure when you are going again but if I'm there I'll either show you how to throw that net or catch a few for you. They are easy to catch in front of the most popular boat ramps this time of year before sunrise. Not sure if I will be up this weekend or not.
