Update on cabin progress...

Exterior chinking is finished. Started on the chimney rebuild yesterday. Will update again when chimney is finished.

Note - Had decided to go with a pre-fab fireplace and rock around it to make it look original in order to save $$$$. In the end, couldn't pull the trigger on looking at a restored log cabin knowing that a pre-fab fireplace was there. Decided to bite the bullet and go with masonry fireplace.

Beautiful cabin! A slice of authentic Americana. I have a special place in my heart for them. I've done stonework and chinking on an 1870s model.20180128_220713.jpg
