Looking for Catfish tournament on Oconee

Does anyone know of any upcoming catfish tournaments on Oconee, if not is anyone interested in trying to get something together.

There’s one tonight on Sinclair. Look up middle Georgia catfish anglers on facebook if you have it. They have a tourney once a month, and rotate between Oconee, Sinclair, and Jackson.

Thanks for the information, I’ll look into it. I’m not on Facebook, don’t like how they silence different opinions.

2nd Annual Hometown Throwdown Catfish Tournament
April 30-May 1, 2022

Mt. Vernon Bridge catfish tournament. This means you are required to launch at the Mt. Vernon landing. Once in the water, you may go where you please as long as it is considered the Oconee River.
75$ Entry fee per boat. (If a child would like to ride with a team that is perfectly fine)
25 $ Biggest fish buy in, 100%
5 biggest fish weigh-in
1st place- 50% payout of total entries
2nd place- 25% payout of total entries
3rd place- 10% payout of total entries
(Remaining 15 % will be toward breakfast/lunch for everyone on the morning of the weigh in)

Fishing begins daybreak on April 30 (no hooks can be put out before daybreak). 50 hook limit per boat
There will be a brief meeting with all contestants at daybreak of April 30 at the boat ramp.
Teams are required to weigh-in no later than 9:30 A.M. May 1 Sunday morning. All teams that show up after 9:30 will be disqualified.
Weigh-in will take place at the boat ramp.
Teams must be paid into the tournament by April 29th at the latest.
