Love of fishing keeps me sane

Love to fish! 62 years young and plan on retiring at 66 when my daughter drops off insurance. Just bought place in Sevierville with my own pond. Fully stocked with bass, bluegill, and some carp. Supposedly some catfish but not seen them. Try to take 2-3 trips a year and this year going to Eufaula with 4 buddies to check it out. Been going to Dale Hollow but the cold drove us away after 3 years below 20. Glad to be here!

Quick story how I got back into fishing. My friend of over 40 years moved back to Knoxville. Was unloading his stuff into garage, saw a fishing rod. Called me over and said is this yours? And it was! He had moved this rod around for over 40 years with him. Black Fenwick Lunker Stick with a red Ambassadeur 5000 reel on it. It inspired me to spend thousands of dollars over the past 10 years or so and accumulate way too many rods\reels and way too many lures and plastics. It's definitely an addiction.
