Maiden Voyage

After several months we were finally able to get the camper out to a camp site and hook it up. Two nights at Fort Yargo in Winder, just 15 minutes from the house for our first “test run” trip. Looking forward to many more fun adventures!!

How did you like Fort Yargo? We are supposed to be going there in July. We like Hard Labor Creek also and they both are about the same distance from me. 30 minutes and I am at either one.

Wish we coulda stayed longer, we had camp site #34 in campground 2. It’s a pull through with water, power, and sewage hookup (I think 34 and 35 are some of the only ones with full hook ups, the rest are water and power only). There’s a ton to do here: fishing, biking, kayaking, there’s a beach where you can swim, and everything is spaced out nicely!!

Thats awesome. We live close by there and we went looked at all of their sites one day. We got site 10 which is waterfront and saw all of their things to do. We will be there in July during the week.

Worst arguments in my 34 year marriage involved my wife trying to guide me backing a 34' Airstream into a campsite.

Same here, night one I brought it home and backing it in the driveway. We got two way radios now to try and help, can’t hear her yelling over my straight piped 7.3 ?
