Missing/Lost Hound

I was just told about a "hunting dog" I'm assuming a bear hound being seen twice this week (Tue&Fri) on 129 north of Desoto Falls and south of the Lumpkin/Union County line both times someone was attempting to apparently catch the dog but not able to. It's wearing a green tracking collar or e-collar.

...just joking, seriously.
I saw the dog twice Friday on my run back and forth to Blairsville.
Once with some vacationer looking older couple trying to keep up with it.
It was having nothing to do with them...
Headed south at a trot...

We've had this dog hemmed up at the woody gap parking lot for an hour or so...
Feeding it ham and Potato Chips. But nobody can get their hands on it.
The dog was pretty visible on the road before that.
It seems like if the one or owner wanted it.It'd be pretty easy to come out here and find it.
It'll probably get hit by a car soon enough.

Name a Mabel?
At least it's been fed and watered.
Bout been hhit by speedin vehicles a dozen times...
It's looking for a familiar vehicle to drive up... Ruins out in the road that exactly the wrong time.

Girl trying to catch the dog with me called her girlfriend at the sheriff's office..
Nothing they can do but they said the owner was here yesterday trying to round up the dog and couldn't get his hands on either.
I bet she'd be happy to see a truck full of dog boxes and her kennel mates.
The dog left out south down hwy 60, but I did not see it on the road on my way south back to mountain camp...

Blowing and raining up here too hard to hunt...
Better or worse depending on the moment, Radar says worse coming...

i wonder what would happen if you stopped with a dog box in the bed..dropped the tailgate and told it to load up:huh:

some of them rascals don't want a hand on them...but they know what to do when you tell them

I tried that with load up, kennel up and everything else.
Even standing back and tossing my ham slices up in the bed of the truck.
If I could have grabbed her collar, I would have and even taken a bite for it, and tied her into the bed with a rope already tied in the bed.
I've had a little time around hunting packs, but I think what she needed was the rest of her kennel mates.
I asked a guy with a dog on a leash to make a walk over there near her to see if that would comfort her but she split again.

Feed her some Purina Pro plan about 5:30 today, called her name and said time to eat Mabel and she came right to me but was skidish at 1st. After about 10 minutes she was getting used to me it seemed and was about to try and leash her to get the info off collar. Some kids in a sports car pulled in behind me trying to help but she ran into the woods. Going back up tomorrow or Tuesday, she needs water Im sure if anyone is near.

Looks like a Kemp bred Walker maybe a Kemp Cross. They use them up home for bear hunting. Might try getting out with a female dog and give it a little time. If it’s a hunting dog……Vienna’s are always a treat they love and are used to getting.
