Hey, guys.
I was given an option on a domestic buffalo (bison) here in Montana for the first part of February. I can't take it, so if anyone is interested send me an e-mail and we'll visit.
It is for a 5 or 6 year old bull. It's certainlly not a "fair chase hunt", don't want to mislead anyone. You would drive out to the pasture and shoot him, field dress him and take him to a processor. These two particular bulls have been giving the rancher problems staying at home.
There is alot of very lean meat on a buffalo, and it's awful good eatin'. We have had some very cold weather recently, and the hides are in beautiful shape. It would cost about $950 to have him mounted here, and $12 / sqr. ft. to tan the rest of the hide.
