Muskrat 's in Georgia

Is there even a market for muskrat these days? The reason I ask is the creek that ran thru my grandparent's property used to be infested with them and I still have access. Would like to give trapping a try but want some way of getting some use out of them if I were to actually have any success. And nope-eatin' 'em ain't appealing-at all!)
Muskrat are like anything else in fur. Always a market for them just goes up and down. They are not hard to catch once you find them. Good luck!!

That's always been true . But not many people trap for money any more lol. Last time I did was in 1998. Now we just do it for the fun and to teach my kids a dying trade.

Not enough muskrat in Central Georgia to make it worth setting a trap for. They are to scattered to ever hope to catch in numbers.
The key to rat trapping is numbers. The yanks on the northern prairie potholes have the best rats.
