Need a little help with Bow Rest

So I bought a used trophy taker smackdown pro of the classified adds on Archery talk. Guy must have let this thing get weathered badly. Elevation screw feels like it was locked in with concrete. Luckily by chance it’s on the right setting. But when I went to change out cable the hex set screw strip immediately. Any help or ideas to get this thing out? Or am I paddling up creek.

if you don't have an ez out kit i would drill it out to just under the screw size , dig it out and install a new screw . an ez out kit may cost as much as a new rest.. i hope that helps ya:huh:.. i admit i'm just going by the pic and your question , i'm not exactly familiar w/ your particular rest but i have replaced plenty of stripped out screws in my days

This exactly why I use fingernail polish instead of any kind of loc tight on archery equipment or scope rings and bases. Knoll oil is your friend.
