Spiritually dead within
Sinner's sin by nature
We are this way by birth
Adam brought the fall
By Christ came new birth
We were born condemned
God's law bears this out
The law could not save
By the law our sins laid out
But God is rich in mercy
Who would have all men saved
If only they ackowledge
Their sin and hopeless state
And trust in His Son Jesus
Who died for their sins
Whom God raised from dead
Believers raised with Him
With Washing of Regeneration
And renewing of the Holy Ghost
Made heirs with Christ our Lord
His Eternal Life our Hope
