Has anyone shot the new Lift X (29.5) or the Lift RS (27.75)?

I have not but I talked to a guy while at Roots in Jackson. He said this was the 3rd time he had to bring in his Lift to the shop for adjusting. He didn't go into too much detail with me, but he did say that he did not like his and was going to sell it at the end of the season.

The new Lift X or the original Lift? Haven’t heard that one before. I’ve heard they had issues with limbs on the first model (reg Lift).

I love the new Lift X's ease of tuning; I got a bullet hole on paper in 5 shots with no press needed.
The limb issue from last year was primarily on high-poundage limbs (70+ lbs) splintering under too much pressure on the new lightweight limbs. Mathews has addressed this by beefing up the limbs on the Lift X; we will soon know if this has been taken care of. I had zero issues with my Lift 33, but I only pull 66 lbs.
With any bow purchase, go shoot several brands and find what fits you best and what features are important to you.

I’m still shooting a V3 27 and a VXR 28, but I may have to rid of one for the new Lift RS.

I have shot the new RS....I have been shooting Elite for 6 years and I am going back to Matthews. Best bow I have ever shot!

Been shooting it a bit, it’s much faster and dead-handed than my more recent Mathew’s (with same setup). I’ll agree with @mizzippi jb though when said last year that the Lift had an aggressive back-wall!

But I’ve not been more happier with a bow in a long time. I can’t wait to hunt with it. It’s shooting 70lbs/28”DL/425gr/293fps. It also feels way longer than the VXR 28; even thought the ata is shorter, its because of the long riser.IMG_4649.jpeg

I shot the Lift X 29.5 and the Hoyt AX 2 29 yesterday. Both are good bows, but the Mathews had a smoother draw and felt better overall to me. I'll shoot the new Elite next before I buy one.

I thought all the limbs were the same poundage and you changed poundage by mod swap.

Diff limbs on the X. However Mathews extended lifetime warranty on any previous Lift models, regardless if you were first owner or bought it off eBay.

@Kris87 I liked the Mach 30 by PSE. Didn’t the original owner of PSE recently sell the company to investors?

Are there any PSE dealers around Athens to shoot some?

I honestly don't know. I have a full shop in my basement and get all my stuff from John's Custom Archery in VA. I don't really visit any bow shops around here. That's a good question, though.
