Sorting through photos, I came across a photo of my personal best rainbow. Caught new years day in western N.C. back sometime in the late 80s. Fished a deep hole with an ice sheet between me and moving water. The fish started heading under the ice and I blindly jumped in trying to save my leader. A memorable catch.
My PB brook trout was caught in similar weather in the Frying Pan River, Colorado. I miss those ice filled eyes.
