This was told as being a true incident by a minister who was asked to attend a big scientific conference in Europe a few years ago. The minister was told by others in attendance there about a scientist who did not believe in God. The minister made it a point to talk with the scientist about the Lord the first chance he got. Finally the minister got to talk with the man.
Minister to Scientist. So you claim that you do not believe in God. Scientist to Minister. No, I do not believe in God, I have never seen him. Minister to Scientist. But you believe in Atoms and you study them right? Scientist to Minister. Why I certainly do believe in Atoms and yes you are right. Studying Atoms is a big part of my scientific mission in life.
