Not A Traditional Thanksgiving Meal

At our house today. We are cooking turnip greens out of the garden. Going to bake pork chops in mushroom soup, cook a pot of rice and a good ole sweet tater to top the meal off. No turkey or ham here today which has been the norm for us over 40 years now. But, tomorrow Friday we head up to my sister's home in Johnston County NC where I was raised and eat the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with her and my niece and some friends. It will still be good and to be with family and friends even better.

So who says turkey or ham is the only way to give thanks. We had a little of both, but I'd of been thankful, with a baked pork chop, or shrimps boiled with taters and onions too.
