Oconee wma camping

I saw a bunch of people camping here by the check station when i was there saturday. Does it cost anything to camp there? Is it loud or very low key? How is everyone there? I was planning on camping there during the week next week to get some early morning hunts in.

It doesn’t cost anything and usually it’s a quite crowd. If it gets rowdy a quick call to the area manger usually provides a quick response.

I camp in the camp area just 100 yds up the road.....long narrow area
with good spots and usually not crowded at all...I go back to check station camp for water...

I think that’s where they were having a tractor pull competition when I went. If it is the grass might be destroyed.
