Old Timey Breakfast This Morning

Fresh baked biscuits, fried fat back, scrambled eggs and molasses. Farm families many decades ago had this choice for breakfast about every morning. I had a big helping this morning it was good. Our breakfast meat long ago on the farm was fried shoulder meat, fried ham, or fried fatback. Either choice with the meat was good, all raised and processed on the farm except for the molasses. We had plenty of chickens so we always had plenty of eggs to eat, sell or share with neighbors.

I can almost see my Grandpa chowing down on his breakfast meal, then heading our for a hard days work on the farm.
