DC3's require a type rating. Most twins are covered under the multi-engine, land certificate. Not DC3's. You gotta have a special endorsement for them

Pretty good video here,,,,my Dad flew for them,started out as Wisconsin Central,he flew a twin Beech,and since they hired 5 initial pilots,my Dad being one,to get seniority,they drew from a hat,,,,my Dad drew #5,????,he was #1 for one day before mandatory retirement,,,,32,500 flying hrs,,,,
