One of those days...

Yesterday was the type of day that I envision as the perfect hunting day.
Misty, foggy, cool and damp.
The woods seem more mystical, intriguing.
I can still hunt quiet, ninja like.
The wind was perfectly in my favor for the area that I wanted to hunt...which is unusual this time of year.
I set up on the ground again overlooking a creek into a bottom area full of sign and lots of activity.
Some may recall a thread I posted earlier highlighting a hunt in which I called in 2 bucks who crossed the creek and walked right up to me...same spot.
7:45 I see a big ol doe come bounding through the high grass. Into and through the bottom.
2 large bodied deer followed a few yards behind...but turned right where she had cut left.
I couldn't tell if they were buck or foe as their heads were down...I assumed bucks scenting her trail.
They moved off and disappeared.
I did not call this time, I waited...30 minutes and no show.
I decided to stalk down the creek in their direction...wet, quiet leaves and the perfect wind bolstered my confidence.
45mins later and 300yds down stream and I neither saw, nor heard these 2 deer.
So I sat down in front of a medium sized oak to hunt another spot...turkey style.
5 minutes later I receive an alert from my cell cam back at my original spot...

Pateince...patience

He is a large bodied 10...would taken him
Oh...and there is a doe in front of him
