Panfish Lures vs. Worms/Crickets

Springs about here. The bag worms are coming out. Their millions in each nest. They really love a persimmon tree. Plenty of free bait. If you see a bush hanging over the bank with them old canker worms dangling by their web.....all the fish in the lake will be right under that bush. Anything slow moving/falling will catch supper every time. Watch the birds, they will be wearing the bush with worms OUT.
That's great info!

@jcal1985 that's about normal for us around here. Occasionally you'll get on bigger fish but that size is perfect eating size.

Unless I'm fly fishing, I'm using crickets and, some times, red worms. 20200403_090903_compress1.jpg
Younger son with a good shellcracker. This was the only pic of fish we took last Friday.

Update.... Went to Charlie Elliott today and "fished" fox lake. Stuck out on Slim Jim's and beetle spins. To be fair, I only got one bit off red worms but it was about a 2lb bass.
