Pike County Giant

I have been hunting Pike Co. Ga, off and on for 15 yrs. I am a bow hunter. That’s all I deer hunt with. For the last 6 yrs, I have been watching this buck grow. At the age of 3 1/2 , I Name him, High and Tight. I saw him 5 times that year and could have shot him each time. At 4 1/2 saw him 1 time chasing a doe. But got a lot of trail cams pics. At the age 5 1/2 I never saw him and only got a few day time pics. Now at 6 1/2 I have no day time pics. All are night time pics. The reason I have made this post. Is because I haven’t gotten any trail camera pics of him. Every year he disappears around Nov.20th. Shows back up around Dec.5th. This year I have heard more gun shots and more deer are being hit with cars. I was wondering if anyone has harvest him or if he been hit by a car. If you did or know someone who harvest him. I would like to meet them and put my hands on him. I have so much info and pics of this Giant. That I would like to share.
But at 61/2, he might be hiding because all the pressure in the area. Who knows he did not get that
Old being dumb. If he shows back up, I will let you know . You can contact me at gooseman224@gmail.com. Good luck and be safe.

Good grief what a buck…definitely a GIANT! Best of luck getting a chance to put your hands on him.

They say at 71/2 they get easier to kill. They are more into food than girls. I would like to get him at is best. Getting pics of him really makes it easier sit a day.

Stud of a buck anywhere. Congrats and well played.

TCU Go Frawgs !
I don't know if anyone has harvested him, but I sure hope no one else has killed, whacked, smacked, jacked, smoked, joked or poked him.

There's a lot of hunting left. Hopefully a hot doe brings him within your bow range.

If you have some time, maybe swing into whatever local processors or taxidermists are around. They may have seen it if harvested.
Hope the story is not road kill.
Look forward to hearing the outcome.

Keep the faith!

We had a similar multi-year saga with a piebald 9pt years ago and after watching him for 3 years he disappeared. Checked with the processor, the neighbors (gotta be careful about doing that…) and then one day he showed up for one last pre-season picture. Then we never saw or got pictures again until I skewered him in early November!

Good luck!!!

A deer of that caliber I’d imagine would make it to Facebook or the local watering holes.

I’ll keep an eye out for you.
