Things Jesus did for You

You are free because Jesus did some pretty awesome stuff.
Colossians 2:9-19 has some amazing, and truly profound things to say that shed a little light on this.

For a start, we read that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is God. That's why if you've seen Him, you've seen God. If you know Him, you know God.
Jesus is human too. That's why He understands at an experiential level all that you face, and all you're going through.

Next, you are complete in Him.
That's why the Apostles could write things like, "you have been given everything you need for life and godliness" and "you are complete in Him, lacking nothing."
He is the head of all principalities and powers. There is nothing above Him. He's the ultimate authority, and the ultimate power.

Jesus circumcised you at the level of your spirit. You are set apart, sanctified. That's what circumcision means.
This sanctification, this circumcision of the heart, removed your old sinful nature and replaced it with a glorious and godly nature.
That's why you really don't want to sin any more. It's why you are inexplicably drawn to doing the right thing.

Jesus took you with Him when He was buried. Even more amazing, He resurrected you from the dead along with Himself.
Jesus has forgiven you all trespasses. All.
Jesus has blotted out the handwriting of laws and rules that condemned you. He nailed all those to the cross as He bore the sins of every person.

What's more, He spoiled the enemy and his minions and made a spectacle of them.
That's why that old accuser is all bark and no bite and why truth is his kryptonite where you're concerned, child of the Most High.

That's the way of grace. He does it all and gives you the benefits as a gift.
