Rabbit season closes after tomorrow so I took a walk mid morning with recurve in one hand and my beater stick in the other. Also looking for pigs or pig sign which I did not see any. I also left my video and camera at home. I did have it in my hand at one time but musta layed it back down. Anyway I had my Obama flip phone which I did pay for myself to take a few picture with. I was probably half way through my walk and the Sun was hitting the briars good at this point of my walk. A good ways into the briars I think I see a rabbit. I look for a few seconds and convince myself 99% sure that is a rabbit and not a rock. I didn't have my binoculars with me. I tried to see if there was a better shot to my left or right but any more moving might send a rabbit not a rock off to better briars. I looked at the Bear broadhead and told it to twist and turn and slide through them briars to the said rabbit if it was. I pulled my girlish bow, to some, back.(>45 lbs) A big ploop sound as my arrow hits the target and a rabbit explodes in the briar patch but makes no head way with the arrow in her. A few second a done deal. I'm thinking grilled rabbit in a few days after sitting in salt water. Might put her in the Instant Pot for a short time before the grill.
