Article nailed the root cause in rabbit hunting decline. Extended deer seasons in the south east. Access to most land is relegated to the last few weeks after deer season ends. Just not worth the cost to maintain the pack.

Great article , and absolutely true , I’m a diehard as they get deer hunter and I see no issue in beagles running rabbits where I deer hunt , but I also know most deer hunters think dogs run all the deer off !
