I believe any rifle chambered for:
  • 300 Winchester Magnum
  • 7mm Remington Magnum
  • 257 Weatherby Magnum
  • 264 Winchester Magnum
  • 6.5 Remington Magnum
  • 270 Weatherby Magnum
  • 7mm Shooting Times Westerner
  • 7mm Weatherby Magnum
  • 300 RCM
  • 30-338 Winchester Magnum
  • 300 Holland & Holland Magnum
  • 300 Weatherby Magnum
  • 308 Norma Magnum
  • 8mm Remington Magnum
  • 338 RCM
  • 338 Winchester Magnum
  • 340 Weatherby Magnum
  • 350 Remington Magnum
  • 9.3mm x 74 Rimmed
  • 375 Holland & Holland Magnum
  • 458 Winchester Magnum
  • 458 Lott
Could be re-barreled for .416 Remington without requiring work on the bolt face.

I "think?" that they would all have an action long enough to accommodate a .416.

What do you intend to hunt with the .416?

If African dangerous game is in the plan, I would steer towards bolt actions with controlled round feed.

New Winchester Model 70's (Post 1992 with CRF)
CZ's
Sako
Ruger M77
Etc.

It will be an African DG rifle. I am only looking for/ considering CRF rifles. Would prefer a Winchester M70 since that is what my 375 H&H is. I am also considering getting it re-barreled into 404 Jeffery or 416 Remington as mentioned earlier. I will only do it with a left handed rifle. Haven’t been able to find a donor rifle yet but I’m gonna keep looking.
