My son got drawn for the youth hunt end of Dec. We haven't been there either. Trying to find a wknd to scout it out . Will be happy to swap intel with you by PM afterward.

Take your bicycle. They keep the gate at the sign-in kiosk closed year-round untiil the day before the hunts. You can access by bike though.

My son drew for youth hunt in Dec. There is not a lot of info on it that I can find.
We drew on purpose. It is about 4-5 hours for us. Looking for something new and late in the year.
Later rut possibly here? Really don’t know what to expect. We don’t have snake boots and don’t like snakes either.

It’s gonna be late rut possibly post rut for the youth hunt, as mentioned gates are close except the day before or there are 4 weekends coming up that are archery, if I was gonna scout I’d make the trip one I’d those weekends of the 2 (week long) archery hunts

the rut there is the first week of December, tough to get drawn for that Early Dec hunt,
