You first.
It works even better if you dry it, burn it, and let the smoke encompass your body.

They won’t smell you but they’ll hear and see you scratching!!!

Then you can go see them in ICU, if they don`t die before you get a chance to see them. Do you realize how deadly that is?

Does every thread have to be derailed by wannabe comedians? Stupid idiots....

We have a Forum for idiocy. It`s called Around The Campfire. I`m sure you`ve come across it. Otherwise, read the last paragraph in post #85.

I use a little baking soda to wash my hunting clothes and hang outside to dry . Young deer are dumb and don’t care as much , a mature buck is a different animal and everything I can do to help my odds I’ll do .
Why go to the woods smelling like tide if you don’t have to .
Yep, baking soda (and the wind)

I take every precaution I can.

A few years ago I took my 13 year old niece hunting with me. Cute little girl that wanted to go deer hunting. Walking to the stand that morning I noticed she had washed her hair earlier...still wet. I noticed the unmistakable scent of bubblegum. Asked her about it and she said "That's my shampoo!" Oh dear Lord....

Made it to stand and climbed in. About at dawn I spot a big 140 class 8 point moving through the woods. Told her to get the gun up quickly! She couldn't get the crosshairs on him fast enough. He turned inside out when he crossed her bubblegum scent stream.

Fortunately the wind was consistent out of the North. We adjusted for that and kept an eye out accordingly. About an hour later she dropped an outstanding six point buck. 3 1/2 years old and six was all he was gonna produce. He never smelled the bubblegum.

I take zero precautions as far as scent goes. When it starts costing me chances I might change, but until then I don’t bother. I don’t hunt the wind and I wash my clothes in whatever detergent my wife buys. I also only bow hunt and this seems to work just fine. I would especially not worry about scent if I hunted with a rifle, by the time a deer realizes he smells something odd he should be dead if you plan on killing him.

Man. My favorite thing to do is chew bubblegum in the stand. Brings em in on a rope. Even killed one that was 142” after getting a plug of Big League Chew

I have been using this to wash my hunting clothes since the mid 90's. It's unscented, no UV brightness and removes blood and tough stains.

So question about detergents. So with the cost of everything and anything to do with hunting now cost more. So I wonder if anyone has tried the all scent free detergent brand for there hunting clothes and had success ? I know playing the wind is the most import part. But when one bottle of hunting detergent cost 18 bucks for 16 oz and you can buy one get one free of a big bottle of all at Publix and works the same for 10 bucks. I just tried it and wonder if others have too ? Thanks !!!
I use all free and clear.

What about the UV or do you not worry about it ?
Worry, no, but….i buy the science. I start a scent free regimen at the beginning of season with scent free laundry soap, arm and hammer scent free deodorant, and the GREEN bottle of shampo/body wash…..best body wash for super sudz!

I also have an ozone generator in my pack. I use it when hunting and I ozone my truck and my hunting clothes, EXCEPT, my HECS suit:fine:

This one is also on the list of scent free detergents that DO NOT have UV brighteners…..most don’t have them, including my Tide free and clear
