I’m going to set a few traps this afternoon. Mainly trying to catch coyotes but any predators that I can remove to help with fawn and poult recruitment will be a plus. Hopefully there will be a few pictures to post soon.

First check and I had 1 gray fox. Had 2 other traps sprung that were empty. Not sure what was going on there. I’ll go back after work and remake the sets and do a more thorough investigation in the daylight. Always good to see some eyes shining on a pre dawn check. Good luck to everybody who has traps out.

Went back after work to remake sets from this morning check and found this guy. I’ve never caught one during the day like this. He wasn’t sick acting. I guess the cold had him hungry and out looking. Anybody else ever have a day time catch? Anyway, I got all the sets remade and we will see what the morning brings.

Once you get the coyotes thinned down they'll make a come back....they're prolific little things.

Good job !!!! My traps were about washed out of the ground this morning , 1 1/2 rain last night , did have one of them silver foxes lol , and he was dead with no apparent injury , my dad asked, u sure he wasn’t playing possum , he was stiff as a board
