Do you use a manual wheelchair? Would you like to practice skills that could help you at home and in the community?
You are invited to the Shepherd Center Advanced Wheelchair Skills Clinic on Saturday, April 27 from 9am-1pm. The purpose ...of this clinic is to provide persons who use a wheelchair with continued education to learn, review, and practice manual wheelchair skills under the guidance of volunteer Shepherd Center therapists. Potential skills to be covered in this clinic include: propulsion technique, wheelies, curbs, falling safely, uprighting the wheelchair, and negotiating grass, stones, sand, and stairs. Skills covered will be tailored to participant interests. The clinic is FREE! Participants will also receive a complimentary t-shirt.
