Spray and throw (not throw and mow)

Had great success last few years with spraying fall plots after the clover seeds out, broadcasting (throw) out summer seed (buckwheat, maybe IC peas, Sun Hempe etc ) , then bushhogging (mow).

Understand if it is not broken don't fix it....but plots are so thick now, just wondering if anyone has skipped the final mow step and had any success? thoughts are spray heavy to terminate everything, broadcast seed, and as dead and dying fall over, it will create the biomass for seed germination anyway...

I've heard of people doing that same exact thing with great success. That's how I will do my plots in Kentucky this year.
