Spring projects

Well I'm gonna try to do updates on a couple little side jobs I took in. Done untold paint jobs on about anything you can think of. These little pedal cars though I think I may enjoy doing. Just a little clean up for someone's grandkids. The Galaxy not going to be a full blown restoration just a strip and do the body work and paint it. I'm working on getting pictures together for my dad's Fairlane as well. This thread may go on for a few months.

Got them blasted a week ago. Little things took 200 lbs of sand.

Got the epoxy primer on them, then doing a little work on the car. The tractor didn't have any dents so it got epoxy then 2k primer.

Little more priming today on the car and some of the wheels for the tractor. I shot the two tone on the tractor yesterday but left it in the booth. Been a different project as I've painted about everything their is but these are my first. Definitely different as it's hard to just take them as toys and not be OCD about my work.

Sprayed the car with single stage urethane today. Gonna lay out stripes and make the headlights look real then clear over it. The tractor is waiting on me to finish the wheels (one fell when I hit bake cycle in the booth) so maybe next week I will be done.

Forgot to post the finished pictures. The Galaxy is next and spring is turning into summer. I've got surgery next week so it'll be first of June before I get on it. These pedal cars turned out pretty good and owner is giving them to their great grandbabies which are a set of twins.

Back in my body shop days I enjoyed doing those little side jobs like that. Beds, fridges, bikes and helmets. The miniature rides and odd items always seemed neater and more satisfying than cars to me.
