I’m pretty sure I sent you a message saying I’d be glad to give you some advice with Old File Knives. I’m no master bladesmith but I’ve sold file knives for $425 on ArizonaCoustomKnives. They just have to be done right to be as good as purchase known steel.Why not just grind it down? I don’t want to lose all the file ability.
I definitely want to leave some in. They’re thick probably alot too long and old.
I want to then use deer antler but I got that part down pat.
Why can’t I just begin with the grind?
