Switchgrass?

Anyone in the middle Georgia area have any experience with planting switch grass and if so, what were your results? experiences with it? Plant it from seed or were you able to get plugs?

It takes a lot of monitoring to get going. Honestly here in the deep south I don't think that planting screening is as necessary as it is up north because it just happens naturally around here.

If you do plant there are upland and lowland varieties.

If you’ll get out of the way and let those field edges be, they will fill with native grasses. Might have to disc it lightly but that’s about it.

Yeah, I have an area that was all pines and I cleared out a half acre or so. Nothing has grown on the edges in the past three years or so that amounts to any height, etc..
