What does the T in T minus stand for? As in T- 53 days until turkey season opens.

T = "Time"

So in NASA lingo, if T represents launch time, the T-10 = 10 seconds BEFORE launch time.

Hence, 53 days before you launch some shot in direction of a big Tom
