how did yall do dove hunting over corn this season? i was thinkin about planting corn next dove season for late season hunts
I didn't put the time in this year that I usually do and it showed. Usually by opening day I've been cutting down corn for a month but this year the corn just wasn't drying down quick enough to cut it before season opened. Corn is awesome usually.

I will start planting on 10/1/2020. there should be lots of moisture in the ground, but because I don't see a lot of rain in the forecast, after Tuesday, I will be doing very little tilling to help preserve that moisture. I'll spread my big seed, then straighten my discs, lightly go over everything, cultipack and then broadcast more clover.

All my plots have clover in them now, except for 1, so I am not going to tear up "food" to plant more "food". Just going to add to the buffet!

These are the turnips, radish and wheat planted on 9/11/2020. Starting to come on!

Pics from this past weekend with my daughter547DB599-4266-4306-90B9-F83D465B9D04.jpeg9F5CDFE8-D6F9-4482-B07E-2E2B7D67F6DC.jpegC3F0FBE0-97B9-4DE4-9C11-78BC6FDB1602.jpeg6B6DD438-0976-4F0E-912B-7361C1F110BA.jpegB66AD28F-6A00-4C18-8344-78F99C1996DD.jpeg. Mix of wheat, oats, abruzzi rye, PTTs, radishes, and kale. Very thankful for the September rains and happy with results so far. Will be adding some clover to selected spots. Ready for the youth/muzzleloader opener!

What type of trees do you have planted in the back of this plot?

Gogators,
Multiple pear varieties, most from The Wildlife Group, jap persimmons, and some crabapples.
Dang block party every night with a few daylighters as well. The tree in the pic is a Dixie Delight from TWG, planted in 2013.

Just planted my small plot for the first time with a 5-way mix and some purple top. This was an old logging deck that had a lot of scrub trees and under brush that I cleared a small spot earlier this summer. Used the GroundHawg Max behind a Mule to break up the ground to get the seed down. Not expediting much but worth a try.

Took tomorrow off so I can get some seed in the ground before this rain thats coming in. I'll post up some pics tomorrow.

Going to plant Oats and Wheat. I picked up a pound of diakon radish seed to try out. Havent planted them on this club so I'm curios to see how the deer take to them.

Only food plot I took a picture of. Other two are coming up good. One definitely needs some fertilizer. Put out some clover and turnips on a logging deck I’m trying to turn into a food plot. There were peas but the deer killed them off before they got any growth. Deer are hammering all the plots. Mix of radishes, clover, wheat, rye, oats, and peas.

Captain Gut Hook !
Got mine planted. Only remembered to take a pic of one of them but oh well. Got any early start since I was planting solo and had to be back by a certain time. If I ever go to plant and everything goes smoothly, I’m gonna be worried. Things bouncing out of the bucket and not seeing them to loosing my phone to Problems with the tractor. I found everything including my phone and the tractor got everything done before it tore up good. Now for the pics,,,,012A29D2-F4C5-489B-A1D9-C15D992D47FF.jpeg21F2F594-68B7-45C5-9250-0E12D0232D65.jpeg0BD249EB-78F5-4165-8ED1-724039B9DC4F.jpeg
