Tried for a Tarpon Friday along with Seasetter to avoid another 40 mile round trip to the reef.

We hooked and leadered a grown Tarpon at 6 feet. It was the only one jumped. Due to the confusion of only two people in the boat and leadering him, he broke the leader before we could get a good image. He still had enough energy to swim away unharmed. We also landed a boat record Crevalle and released about 25 sharks between 2-5 feet. A beautiful day on the sound with a good fisherman to help me in this endeavor. I quickly learned that it take two old timers to land a Tarpon. I slept well last night!
