Taxidermy Sales Tax???

Does GA collect sales tax on taxidermy? Some states do not and I can’t google an easy answer.

I thought there was a separate Taxidermy forum here, but don’t see it. Thanks.

From what I've seen sales tax has always been included in the total lump sum cost of the mount and generally you don't pay sales tax for the labor/services part of the cost anyhow which is the majority of the cost.

The shop pays sales tax on the materials they purchase for the mount so they could charge it to the customer on an itemized invoice (showing labor and materials separately) but I've never seen it done that way. I don't have a bunch of mounts though so maybe some taxis are doing this? If so, I don't think it's the norm.

They would deduct their costs. They pay tax on materials. So you wouldn’t see any of that generally. All I’ve seen charge a set price for whatever it is they are doing
