Nothing,nada gobbled this morning where me and my son were. Another member was covered up in gobblers and killed onr with 1” spurs

It was nasty when I got up and came a good storm about 10 . I went after that for a few hours and didn’t have any luck . Hopefully a nice morning tomorrow

8:06 heard one gobble 1 time. Heard a hen yelp twice at 9:30…tomorrow hopefully.

It’s crazy how one area I’d dead and an area a mile away the birds were going nuts. We hunted about a mile apart

I heard 2 gobble a few times way off . Sure feels nice and got to watch a beautiful sunrise . I’m gonna hang out a few hours and see if I can find one .

Heard one fired up a long ways off. Had 2 gobble real close one time and saw hens go towards them. Close enough to hear them fly off roost. We walked in right past them. I think we boogered them up. Stayed in the area a couple more hours and couldn’t get back on them

What a loooong day! Hens and jakes are still walking around single file like it’s November. Had a group of 17 walk 15 yards pass me at 4:15pm. Then a single 30 min later. Saw a gobbler feeding in a field around noon, he wanted no part of what I had for him. Never lifted his head to the yelp at 80 yards. We are a week or so away just like last year and they will be fired up. I CANT WAIT!

I did hear a neighbor try to learn the fine art of owl hooting this morning about 6:30. I will never forget it………

Talk about a slow first week! Big groups walking around like it’s December all over both my places. Guys around me have hot birds gobbling. We do not yet. It’s getting real close though! Had a hen walk 10-20 feet from me yesterday afternoon scratching. When they are that close it’s exciting. Sat looks bad with the weather but Sunday and Wednesday are looking fine.

Had a good hunt today . Struck one about 1 and ended up being 2 gobblers and hens . Messed with them til 5:30 . Got to hear some good close gobbling but didn’t seal the deal . Maybe next time

I only went huntin the past 2, but still.... 7 days without a gobble is tough

I got on one on roost this morning gobbling pretty good . Was going to him and walked up under 3 jakes in the tree . After all their fuss the gobbler shut up and I decided to go where I was originally headed . Didn’t make it halfway there and could hear one gobbling good . Set up on him in the wrong spot , didn’t want to spook him in open hardwoods . Should have went about 20 more yards and he’d of been shot at at least . Ended up following him for a few hours . Maybe next time
