Here's a preform of sorts that has been fluted from end to end.Whoever did it was determined because he had to take 3 or 4 strikes to do it with the last strike taking the end off. With the point it would have been about 2 in. long. It was found in a small plot where very early archaic and paleo points were found.

That piece was tough. It was giving the knapper more than he wanted.

Definitely have the time period right, but hard to say from this picture. Maybe a Dalton of some sort?
