In my whole life, I've never known of anything stolen to be voluntarily returned. I had very little faith for this prayer.
But when my daughter told us yesterday of a couple potted trees she had stolen, I didn't know what else to do. She had an apple tree she had raised from a seed and a fig tree UGA Hillel had given her. She'd left them outside near her apartment to get some sun. She was angry someone had taken them - and left a dead potted tree in their place!
When saying grace before dinner last night, my wife and I made a quick request for the trees to be returned.
At 4 AM this morning, they were! Thank you Jesus.
