Had the opportunity to take a distributor and rep out today to demo the Humminbird gear on the water and show them how it worked. They get it now. We caught stripers on leadcore, power reeling Captain Mack jigs and on the Ben Parker spoons. Big fish was just over 25 lbs. Some of what we saw and what we caught today...

That's insane! You have me wanting to upgrade...the side scan would be worth it alone. AWESOME!!!!!

I agree!

Most underestimate the value of Side Imagining for all applications of fishing from finding structure, finding fish and finding bait perspective....it is a powerful thing!

Those last 2 fish bit the Ben Parker spoon at the same time. Find the fish and simply drop it down below fish and wind it up hard and fast...but, you'd better hold on....and, know that these fish have a tendency to hit just as the spoon comes into view...it is an insane thing:clap:

Very cool. Bill, can you confirm that several of your shots show a distinct thermocline at roughly 30 or so feet? When I turn up the sensitivity on my Humminbird 1158c or 998c I see the same thing and have always told people who fish with me that the line is where the water temperature changes. I just want to make sure as I want to make sure I am steering people straight. Even the fish one your screen seem to relate to it and not many rise above it but almost all them stay below. One other question to make sure my thought process is correct. If that is indeed the thermocline does it show up because plankton and other micro organisms gang up or is it because the water density of the different temperature is enough to cause a light return ping from the transducer. I welcome your expertise. Blessings, Eric

Nice work brother Bill, those are some great screen shots as well.
I landed two big girls today on the spoon, they can knock the fire out of it can't they...LOL

Hartwell has been the same. Did notice I have been coming up a ways from 80 feet then dropping back down. Was going to chunk it a different direction so brought it all the way up and got hit right at the surface with fish at 80 so started coming all the way back up on each drop. The spoon thiong is a blast!

The number of times you get hit coming from the deep right at the boat as the spoon comes into sight is amazing. I have some Ben Parker spoons that I rigged with 8/0 circle hooks and I think the hook up ratio is increased.:flag:
