Top water time on Lanier!

Have had 2 weekends of great topwater action on Lanier. Been fortunate to fish on 2 ocassions recently with sammys and spooks catching 15-20 spots and a few small stripers each morning. The bites were from daylight to about 8:30 on each trip. Only picked up a couple after morning topwater bite on white grub worms and fishhead spins. Most fish were only 1-3 lbs. but anything on topwater is fun!

Any baits working better than others? Spooks, poppers, sickbait etc?

Sure others will work, but I was throwing a Sammy and both days friends were throw Zara spooks both walking baits.

I was out Saturday morning and seen very little top Water, magic swimmer 95 was working pretty good.
