Trump "you got 2 weeks!"

Senate Republicans were making a defense about the facts of the case until trump's defense team changed the narrative. Senators were still making statements against the impeachment today that contradict the president's new defense team. It's all an impossible waste of time. No one is changing their vote in the Senate. Have a vote now and let the election decide in November.
Well yeah, that's what we would do out here in the real world if we had any say so but obviously we don't because the Democrats are determined to kick him out of office and they are not going to stop. When he gets re-elected they will just triple down.

If they had anything at all, Pelosi would've RAN those articles of impeachment over to the Senate chamber the second they were signed. The fact they slow walked it to try to milk the media cycle some more is a glaring admission that they need the MSM to help them make their case, because they've not made it with fact.
This has been and will always be the biggest joke and embarrassments in this nation's history! I just wish the right would grow the huevos to go after the Left as hard as they have gone after the Republicans!
They could and they actually have evidence to back the cause!

So simple an ill-informed obsessive contrarian can do it.

That and she had to wait on the souvenir pens to arrive.

Skip it. You ain't missing nothing. I watched on/off for a few hours last night.

Recap from yesterday's ~12 hours session.....

  • Dems take their full hour or two to try to make their case for each witness they want to call.
  • Trumps lawyers spend 10 minutes tearing it to shreds, and then yielding the remainder of their time to a colleague (to have in reserve if needed, I assume).
  • Full chamber votes down the amendment to add that witness.
  • Rinse, repeat.
Basically, the Dems know they are not going to get any witnesses, so they are using this as an effort to show what they are calling 'evidence' that more evidence and witnesses are needed.

Schiff started out by saying 4 or 5 times in his opening that there was 'overwhelming evidence' that Trump was guilty. Followed by 'we need to hear more witnesses to get more evidence.

Then Cipolloni or Sekulow pointed out that if the evidence is that 'overwhelming' try your case as it stands.

All 9 amendments brought forward yesterday were voted down 53/47. Then Collins (Maine) broke with the R's on the final amendment to change the rules on time allowed.
