Wow. Finding 2 drills around here would be a long time apart. I found one area that drills were sort of common, but still difficult to find. Looks like it was nearly 3 drills

Interesting. I hunt near a rural intersection just off an abandoned RR bed-turned powerline right of way, called Bascom in Screven County. Looks like an old whistlestop that hasn't seen a train in 50+ years. This web page (https://www.projectilepoints.net/Points/Bascom.html) references "The Old Bascom (abandoned) settlement, southern Georgia." May be there's another "Bascom" by which the point derived its name, but your thread definitely perked my interest. I found a pottery shard on the ground where we park the trucks there. No telling what else might be just below the pine needles.
