Tybee island surf fishing

I’m heading down to tybee island next week and wanted to get some surf fishing done. Probably going to get out in the early mornings. Does anyone know how the bite is and what they are hitting on?

I haven't been in some time. The redfish are probably not there yet. Maybe some specs in the surf if you net some live shrimp. Most likely will be a few whiting and sharks. Let us know how you do.

Caught a ton whiting on shrimp. Was hoping to get a species with more size but I was happy with the action.

Were there any size to the whiting? Were you fishing on the beach or pier?

I was fishing from the beach on the south side of the island. Most of them were on the smaller side but had a few good ones mixed in.
