What a time we had . Got on the water about 6:30 yesterday afternoon . Went and anchored up on a brush pile my dad has been building for years . Never moved , fishing with minnows and the Hybrids were there before dark , caught about 10 of those and kept enough for a mess because I didn’t think we were gonna catch any crappie . The crappie started about 7:30 and bit slow but everyone of them was slabs . I’ve fished West Point for 20 years and have never seen the quality of crappie I’m catching this year . We had 18 that were 12 in plus . Most of all had a great evening with my wife , daughter and her boyfriend and his nephew . That little man had a blast , his first trip on a boat . He just got done eating a mess .
