We have discussed Replacement Theology or better named Covenant Theology a long as I've been a member of this forum. It's always been civil in these discussions.
I don't personally see it that way after reading Romans 11 but I can see why they might see it that way.

My main question was why did this thread take such a negative approach to the discussion? Was it Johnson's attitude more than the actual topic?
To me it seemed like he was sorta getting dog piled and went overboard on the defensive. But some of the returns other gave him were also overboard and perhaps why a warning was given.

I do agree he was a bit arrogant and went too far pretty much threatening a moderator. That part I get.

To me in a lot of our discussions, the more we learn about each other's beliefs, we sometimes learn we have more in common than not.
That is because it's easy to read scripture and see it in a different light than others or even what we once read.
One might read a passage and 10 years later read it again and have a totally different belief as to what it is saying.

This is from an older member and discussion.
"Covenant Theology, not Replacement Theology.
There may be some, though I don't know of any, who believe that God has completely cast off Israel and is now concerned solely with the Gentile church. The "replacement" in this case is one people group for another. This is the kind of "Replacement Theology" of which Reformed theologians are often accused by Dispensationalists, but none of us believe this.
There will be a great revival among the Jewish people as they are provoked to jealousy. There are many elect Jews who still must come to Christ.
However, the CHURCH is the True Israel of God."

It’s obviously a topic that brings out the worst in some people.

I was curious about the ban on “Bible version” threads. After searching the archives for these threads, I found lots of members with the word “BANNED” underneath their names.

Some subjects just get people riled up.

Have you reviewed how these people respond to me? And your threat doesn't scare me in the slightest. Asking if someone is triggered is in no way as egregious as remarks made towards me. You just don't like my position. Be transparent instead of hiding behind the rule book. You do realize I can and will form a new account as soon as I decide to, right?

Christianity is the worship of Christ. Followers of Judaism hate Christ. Just read the Talmud if you don't agree.

Hard to understand why Christianity and Judaism are lumped together. A bit of an oxymoron.
Christians are Jews by a different name.
