Are mustard greens any good?

No. Bitter, slimy leaves. My mom likes them. The only good thing I can say about them is that they're better than collard greens.

Add a couple dashes of salt, a good portion of sugar and bacon to the mustard greens. Simmer until done. Normally hours. Top with pepper sauce on the plate if wanted. Good to have some fresh cornbread to go with. They are full of iron. Good when in season. Turnip greens also.

I don't mind them now that I've got a food processor, giving it that extra grind helps with the bones.... still got to have LOTS of katsoup.

I don't mess with them.

Ate a pile of them in college....we'd buy the frozen store brand pot pies for cheap and load the freezer down....rest of the weekly budget went towards beer & Jimmy Beam.

Come to think of it.....I no longer mess with any of that stuff these days.
